General Course Description

This course will introduce trainees to one of the most popular renewable energy systems and will concentrate on solar power systems and its scope and applicability in the Palestinian market.

It will add to electrical engineers’ and professional electricians’ skills and knowledge and take their careers to new horizons whereby they will explore current and future advancements in solar power energy.

• Introduction to renewable energy systems. This includes:

  • Biogas and other similar Systems
• Off Grid Solar System. This includes:
  • System Components description
  • System Design
  • System Configuration
• ON Grid System. This includes:
  • System Components description
  • System Design
  • System Configuration
  • Software tools
• Hybrid Systems. This includes:
  • System Components
  • System Design and hybrid details
• Wind Turbine System description
• Biogas system description

Hours:  30 hours / 15 sessions

Target Audience: Electrical Engineers, Renewable Energy Engineers, Environmental Engineers, Professional Electricians.

Pre-Requisite Knowledge and Experience

• 2 years of professional control electrical installation experience. AND / OR First university degree or diploma in electricity.
