Fundamentals of Electricity and Electronics for Schools and Colleges (MCP)
General Course Description
This course will introduce college and high school students to the world of electricity and electronics in a simple, interactive and attractive way. Electronic and electrical training kits will be used to demonstrate those various elements functionality in a real-world environment.
This course will prepare students to take on education and careers in the modern world of electronic and electrical engineering and automation.
Course Outline
- Introduction to basic electrical elements including: Resistors, coils and capacitors.
- Introduction to basic electric elements including: diodes, transistors, LEDs, crystals and oscillators.
- Introduction to electromechanical elements including: Relays, switches, IC’s and connectors.
- Basic electrical and electronic circuits including bridges, amplifies and filters.
- Basic AC and DC power sources including AC motors, DC motors, transformers and batteries.
- Introduction to basic logic circuits
